Oh boy, this one is going to hurt, but we’ll get to that later.
So, there I am, coming off this enormous high feeling. I went to the “Get Motivated” seminar with the likes of Colin Powell, Condoleezza Rice, the ex-president of Microsoft, Zig Ziglar, etc.
Then I go to financial investor’s school only to learn that, yes, I really can do this, I felt so empowered, and I was busting at the seems. But then the self-doubt creeps in, and the high crashes. I look at my actions and they are not reflecting this new found knowledge- worse, I am slipping into a snap of depression.
Know this- I’ve been traveling with no health routine and I’ve put on 5 pounds! Wow, now you can just shoot me! I went and did all this positive stuff and for what? Look where I am now.
Ok, a couple huge lessons:
One– When leaving the safety of the healthy system you built, take or create some temporary support.
Two– Only introduce one big concept at a time.
These new ideas need time to settle into our conscious and subconscious. They need to find a home in your life and you need to make new habits formed around them.
ONE AT A TIME.
I attended three intense seminars in three weeks! My brain was on overload and rebelling.
Here’s where the pain comes in. When you crash, do you have unwavering people who will throw out that lifeline, reel you in, and massage your soul? Do you have emotional credit in others’ banks?
I had no less than 6 people I could reach out to- all I have to say is “I’m losing it” and they jump. But they know I jump just as high! In less than a few hours I was turned around and centered.
Your relationships, besides your mate, are crucial, as my friend
Andi will say, “I’m part of your farm and you planted seeds and
cultivated me.”
Cultivate your support, love them, laugh with them, because I
promise you’re going to cry with them.
Fable,
Remember, Every ounce Counts
