Kim Kardashian Needs To Go On A Diet

Monday, February 14th, 2011 by admin

At least that’s what SHE says.

In Kim Kardashian’s recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the reality TV star said, “I’m on a diet. I need to be. I love to eat — Kit Kats or cookies-and-cream ice cream. I need sugar, like, five times a day.”

Apparently, Kim says the bad habits kicked in while she was filming “Kourtney & Kim Take New York City.” Kardashian admits she can hardly pass up the street vendors and junk food.

She explained, “I worked out once. I gained, like, 10 pounds. All the papers were like, ‘Kim’s pregnant!’ I ate the nuts on the street corner, the hot dogs, the street meat. It was not a joke.”

Do you think she needs to be on a diet? Is this another example of outrageous obsession?

Look Better Naked? An Overweight Woman’s Biggest Fear

Tuesday, December 7th, 2010 by Fable

Look better naked? OMG!

That’s the position being put out there in a new book by Woman’s Health magazine’s Editor-in-Chief, Michele Promaulayko.

Here’s what she says about her new book:

“Look better naked. Does any word cut so close to the core of our deepest insecurities? When we’re naked, it’s not just our bodies that are on exhibit—it’s our hearts, our souls, our very self-worth that feels exposed and ripe for criticism. And if you’re like most women, you know that no one can be as hard on you as well, you.

As the editor-in-chief of Women’s Health, I hear from women every single day who share their greatest fears and their deepest anxieties about their bodies. And invariably, those stem from one thing: how they look naked.

That’s why this book is for you: If you’ve ever looked in a mirror at your naked self and felt anything other than spectacular, then you’ve come to the right place. Look Better Naked is for women who want to look hotter, live healthier, and—perhaps most important of all—feel more confident, in clothes or out of them.”

What do you think about Michele Promaulayko’s book? Do you think 6-weeks gives you enough time? Probably a little tough right now, given the holiday season, parties, food, family, and stockings stuffed with goodies.

Overeating-One of Life’s Greatest Pleasures

Monday, November 1st, 2010 by admin

If eating is one of the greatest pleasures on earth, then to not overeat is naturally going to be one of the grandest challenges. But no one raised us when we were growing up to be aware of this.  So now, here we are, using food as a filler for the holes in our life. Sometimes I think my meals are the only joy I will have today, so why not make them BIG AND JUICY!

The reality of the pain and suffering of being overweight is staggering. No meal I’ve ever had has ever given me enough pleasure to compensate for the damage the weight has caused. And yet the meal beckons…  So here are a few tricks I use to get back in touch with food on a more friendly basis.

Eat slow and savor your food.

Be creative in your menu.

Let yourself have a few NAUGHTY items to keep you satisfied.

Use all tools available (friends, family, O.A., THE GYM).

Being aware of your triggers, removing temptation, and instead, add things that FILL YOU UP SPIRITUALLY.

We are here for YOU…

Do you use food for comfort? How have you dealt with overeating?
